About rebiddate

rebiddate puts public records into one weekly email for commercial landscapers: who holds each public grounds, tree and snow contract we cover, what every bidder bid on it last time where there's a bid tab, and the end date on the agency's record.

See what it finds for your area.

Why it exists

The county already publishes all of it, in places that don't talk to each other. The contracts list names the holder and the end date, but it has no dollar amounts. Source: county contracts dataset

The bid tab has every bidder's total, but it doesn't say who got the contract. Source: county bid tabulations dataset Federal awards sit on another site again. Source: USAspending.gov About, Licensing

Putting them together yourself means searching each list and matching contract numbers and firm names. We join them every Monday, by solicitation number and by the firm's federal ID, and put the record link on every line, so you can check any of it in one tap.

How we work

  • Numbers come from the record. Nobody types in a contract number, bid or date, and no AI writes one. Code copies each one from the government file and checks it against that file before it's used.
  • We say only what the record says. "Listed as the contractor", "end date on the record", "as tabulated". We never guess why a firm got a contract or when it will be bid again.
  • We don't fill gaps with guesses. Contracts awarded from a request for proposals have no bid tab, and a bid tab never says why the holder got the work. Where the record is silent, so is the line.
  • Every report goes to a co-founder. Every line has a Wrong record? button, and each report is emailed to a co-founder with the line it's about. Once a wrong line is fixed, it becomes a permanent test, so the same mistake can't ship twice.
  • Public records only. We don't buy data and we never contact agency staff for you. What the publishers' terms ask of us.

Where we are today

One metro: Montgomery County Government (MD), plus federal grounds, tree and snow work in the Washington area. Chicago and Cook County come next. Exactly what we cover.

A quiet week is normal. The county opens only a few grounds, tree and snow bids a year, so most weeks the email is the end-date calendar and the federal items. Check the county's bid list: county open solicitations dataset
