What BidNet does well
Open bids, documents and bid submission in one place. In Montgomery County, MD every formal bid on the county's listing page says
"This solicitation is hosted on BidNet", so that's where you download the specs and send your number.
If all you want is Montgomery County bid notices, BidNet's free plan may be enough.
What a landscaper also wants before the next bid opens
An open bid tells you the scope and the due date. It doesn't tell you who is doing the work now, what they bid to get it, or when the county's record says that contract
ends. In Montgomery County those answers sit in two other public places, the contracts list and the
bid tab pages, and neither links to the other.

Not in the plan descriptions we read, and we haven't tried its add-ons. The county posts every bidder's total on its own bid tab pages; rebiddate puts those totals next to the contract they led to.
Where rebiddate falls short
One metro today. In Montgomery County, MD we read the county government's records only. Not Montgomery County Public Schools, Montgomery
Parks (M-NCPPC), WSSC, Rockville or Gaithersburg: they buy on their own. Outside the Washington metro you get federal sites only, labelled as such.
No tab, no bid totals. One of the 13 county contracts on this week's list has no
bid tab we can join (a contract let through an RFP gets none): contract 1036842, held by Ruppert Landscape, LLC. There we
show the holder and the end date only.
No bid documents, no bid submission. Those stay on the county's pages and on BidNet Direct, where Montgomery County hosts its formal bids.
Thin weeks are normal. This week the Montgomery feed has no open grounds, tree or snow bids. Most weeks, the
